So a new smartphone from Oukitel was born, not only with two rear cameras, but also with two front ones. Both of these solutions can be seen in other smartphones, although the dual front camera is clearly a rarity at the moment. But so that at the same time both this and that – this still had to be invented. Well, everyone understands what the main feature is here, but just look at the price and remember after what level in $ you can find a more or less decent camera (one) and all questions will disappear.

Design.

Recently, it’s hard to find a relatively inexpensive Chinese smartphone that doesn’t look like anything else – it’s probably easier to make them look like some Samsung or iPhone. The same Oukitel did not particularly remind me of anything, apart from the familiar location of the two rear cameras. Or the case really has some kind of originality, or it was borrowed from a not very well-known smartphone. In any case, it is difficult to say anything more about the design, since it looks quite simple.

The front panel, in fact, stands out only with rounded 2.5D glass. In addition, it has two front cameras, a flash, a speaker and sensors. There is no LED indicator. Saved?
Bottom of the front panel – navigation buttons in not the newest design. Of course, it would not be superfluous to make them on-screen as well – they don’t glow.
The back cover is more interesting: it is polycarbonate. It looks impressive to some extent, but it collects fingerprints and even ordinary dust very strongly. You will have to wipe it too often. But during the use of scratches, I did not leave.

As for the controls, the volume and on/off buttons are located on the right side, and separate buttons were made for volume, not a rocker.

The smartphone is rounded on all sides – like 2.5D glass, a frame with special bevels, that the back cover itself with smooth transitions. So the convenience of a smartphone cannot be denied even despite the relatively large diagonal of 5.5 inches. But, perhaps, someone will have to get used to such a "streamlined" case, because it feels like the so-called "soap" 🙂

Display.

There is a 5.5" matrix with HD resolution installed. Whatever one may say, a 5" diagonal would have looked much better for such a smartphone, they also saved money – the missing indicators and backlight might have appeared. But, as for this matrix, the manufacturer is unknown, but IPS is declared. I cannot deny this, the colors at an angle are not really inverted as it could be with the most ordinary matrix.
In general, the screen is hard to fault in terms of quality. The picture, without comparing the matrix of the smartphone with others, gives quite natural colors. The problems that were encountered in a recent budget smartphone (graininess) are not here. But the maximum brightness is a bit lacking. In the sun, the picture is difficult to distinguish.
But there is one more but. Here is a natural multitouch. Just two touches :). I haven’t seen this for a long time, but it’s good that at least these two touches are full-fledged (and not 1.5). But this, of course, is very alarming – apparently the matrix is ​​\u200b\u200breally one of the most budgetary, there are some leftovers.

OS, first use and main functions.

In terms of the system, the smartphone is extremely simple. Well, first of all, it’s based on Android 7.0 and, importantly, without an annoying third-party launcher. Although, as is customary, it is not quite, quite clean: the strip with Google search has been removed, and the application menu has also been made transparent. The first is somehow not very important, unless you constantly use this quick search, and the second is simply incomprehensible – it does not look very aesthetically pleasing. On my own, I’ll add that in such a relatively clean interface of the android, the on-screen buttons would also fit perfectly.
The firmware at the time of writing the review is the latest, in addition, I have a smartphone for more than a month and during this time, accordingly, nothing came out. Although, there are no fatal problems here to wait for something.
Out of 16GB of internal memory, the user has 11.03GB left, and out of 2GB of RAM, more than a gigabyte is available after the start. In terms of additional functions, everything is very standard – there are untranslated gestures (gestures), a one-handed mode (reducing the area displayed on the screen), as well as some kind of Parallel Space cloud storage service.
All this is in English, but there is nothing difficult to understand. Moreover, I doubt that these functions will ever be translated, thanks already for the English.
